Match Reports

Sunday September 15th 2024 - The annual Presidents Day is the closing competition in the Kirkbymoorside Bowling Club calendar. Despite this practically being the only rain affected match of the season, players hadn't lost their muscle memory for drying their bowls or complaining about the weather. Based on the unwritten rule that 'the Chairman's decision is final' the match was terminated early on account of the rain and the lure of tea and biscuits. The competition honours went to Peter Kent and Nigel Harrison as the highest shot scoring pairing, and Gail Allan and Simon Allan as the runners-up. These celebrations of success were followed by the usual recriminations of all those who failed to secure a prize in the raffle draw.... they have 7 months to come to terms with it, before the 2025 season starts!

Tuesday September 10th 2024 - The annual Colin McDonald Club Floodlight competition again saw KMBC members trying to remain calm on the outside whilst frantically trying to pick up shots, as 21 players, in pairs and triples, contested 3 games of 6 ends.
