Spenceley Triples 2024

              Weekend of 3rd & 4th August 2024

REVISED RULES - All competitors are requested to report to the Competition Secretary at least 15 minutes before their game is due to commence. Should a team not be ready to start within 10 minutes of the starting time the organisers will have no option but to award the game to their opponents plus 5 shots.

Day 1 Games - Will be played over a maximum of 13 ends or 90mins, whichever is the foremost. Day 1 games are played in 4 groups of 4 on a Round Robin basis. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the qtr/finals to be playes on 4th August.

Day 1 Timing - Round Robin games. Start on the whistle. The whistle will blow after 90mins.. The end in play must be completed.  On the whistle, the Jack must be set for the end to be completed.

Killed ends - The team who kill the end will forfeit 2 shots to their opponents. The end will not be replayed.

Scoring Day 1 - 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw. In the event of teams tied when determining the final standings, the team with highest shots scored will be deemed the winner. If still tied, then the team least scored against will be the winner.

Day 2 Games - Day 2 will start with the quarter final draw at 10.15am. Games will start at 10.30am on a straight K/O basis

Quarter Finals - Played over 13 ends or 90 mins whichever is the foremost.

Semi Final - Played over 13 ends or 90 mins whichever is the foremost.

Final - Will start at approx. 4.00pm and will be 15 ends with no time limit

Umpires - Will be appointed and their ruling shall be final

Scorecards - Must be handed into the Competitions Secretary immediately after the end of the game.

Dress - Greys with white tops (or club shirts) on both days please. Shorts may be worn only if they have the official Bowl’s England logo

Substitutes -The players commencing play in the first round shall constitute a Triple. After the first round one of the Triple may be substituted, with the substitute taking the position of lead bowler.

No substitutes will be allowed on Day 2. Players commencing on Day 2 to play unchanged throughout the day (unless illness after start of play forces retirement).

Smoking - THE CLUB OPERATES A STRICT NON SMOKING POLICY (INCLUDING ELECTRONIC DEVICES) BOTH ON THE GREEN AND ALL AREAS SURROUNDING IT.

SMOKING IS ONLY ALLOWED IN THE DESIGNATED AREA JUST OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE GATE TO THE CLUB.
